Holding the torch for Drum and Bass at our Hideout Warm Up Party, is an artist whose name has become a first port of call for both Drum and Bass lovers, and casual electronic music fans. Wilkinson hails from the mighty RAM records, and arguably comes second only to Andy C when it comes to reputation within the label’s roster.
His career under RAM began in 2010, but it was 2013 that proved to be the year where this young talent would be truly launched into the spotlight. He released his undeniably brilliant album Lazers Not Included, which featured an eclectic mixture of tracks, which are still making their rounds on the club and festival scene 5 years later. One tune it is impossible to go without mentioning that featured on the album is Afterglow; a vocally astounding and near perfectly produced piece that made it to number 8 in the UK top 40, opening up ground for Drum and Bass to find some footing in the mainstream.
Wilkinson since then, has been trickling out a steady stream of bass heavy songs to date, and his reputation and prowess on the decks, see him circumnavigate the globe on a weekly basis. He hardly stops at the same place twice, but he’s been to DBE before! We can’t wait to welcome him back to Room One on the 15th of March.Read on as we give you three of his track’s to show you what he’s about.
