Any producer would be happy to work with labels like The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz and Material. To have done it by the age of 18 is nothing short of remarkable. But that’s just what UK artist Jaden Thompson has done.
His sound is already so charismatic and infectious that it already stands proud of the crowd. Placing drums front and centre, they are punchy, rib-rattling affairs that bounce like no one else’s with a clipped, taught energy.
His DJ sets, too, are unforced affairs that unravel with great pace and balance. They have seen him play Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle, Leeds’ Mint Club—at the invitation of Nick Curly’s Trust series—and various other warehouses round the UK.
Now getting remix requests as well as being hunted by labels like the legendary Music For Freaks, his consistency and compelling aesthetic are sure to carry him right to the top of the scene before he’s even half the age of his heroes, we can’t wait to welcome him to his first DBE party – our eyes are firmly on him to tear the terrace apart on the 21st June’s Day&Night party
